Nestled on a peninsula amidst emerald waters, Thung Nham Restaurant and Hill Coffee – Moc An Vien boast breathtaking 360-degree views, capturing the picturesque landscapes of the tranquil valley.
With an open-concept design that blends seamlessly with nature, accented by the soothing hues of wood and flora, we create an atmosphere that is both relaxing and invitingly cozy. Most notably, we embrace the “Locavore” philosophy, offering dishes crafted almost entirely from clean, self-sustained ingredients harvested directly from Thung Nham Farm.
Thung Nham Restaurant features five distinct dining halls, each named after a rare bird species found in our Bird Park:
- “Cò Nhạn” (Asian Openbill): Boasting the most unique and beautiful location, this dining hall appears to float upon the emerald lake when viewed from a distance.
- “Hằng Hạc” & “Sếu Đá”: These two rooms overlook a serene rock garden, accompanied by the soothing sounds of a trickling waterfall and golden fish swimming in the stream below.
- “Anh Vũ”: Designed to offer a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, this room is the perfect setting for intimate family gatherings or group meetings.
- “Phượng Hoàng” (The Phoenix): Perched at the highest and most magnificent vantage point, this is our signature Buffet Restaurant. Featuring a three-sided open glass design, it offers diners breathtaking panoramic views of the lush green valley below. As our largest venue, “Phượng Hoàng” is fully equipped with modern amenities and can accommodate nearly 500 guests, making it the ideal location for events and galas of all sizes.

The soul of every culinary masterpiece lies within its ingredients. To create a truly exceptional dish, ingredients must not only be fresh and seasonal but also completely natural, preserving their purest essence without external interference.
Thung Nham Restaurant invites diners to experience the distinctive culinary heritage of the historic Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. Here, precious local treasures are gathered and masterfully blended by our chefs with signature regional herbs, creating dishes that are as aromatic as they are captivating.
Embracing the “Locavore” philosophy of self-sufficiency, Thung Nham Restaurant prides itself on a dedicated organic garden and a private islet on Tien Lake for raising livestock. Guests will find lush beds of mustard greens beside crisp lettuce, while aromatic herbs like coriander, basil, and perilla are always ready for harvest. Further afield, trellises of cucumbers, tomatoes, and yardlong beans flourish—providing nearly all the fresh ingredients for our kitchen.
Our extensive menu ranges from iconic Ninh Binh delicacies—such as Mountain Goat, Crispy Rice, and Hill Chicken—to exclusive specialties found only at Thung Nham, like the “Royal Snakehead Fish” (Cá Tràu Tiến Vua) and our signature Sim Wine.
Combined with the warm hospitality of our dedicated staff, we promise a delightful dining experience nestled amidst the poetic mountains and forests of Thung Nham.
3. Menu
THUNG NHAM CULINARY POLICIES & TERMS
1. MINIMUM MENU RATES (PRICE PER PAX)
- TA / CA Groups: 300,000 VND
- Secondary & High School Students: 250,000 VND
- Kindergarten & Primary School Students: 200,000 VND
- Public Holidays / Tet: 350,000 VND. (Any applicable surcharges will be announced by the Resort 15 days in advance).
2. CORKAGE CHARGE (BYO DRINKS POLICY) Applicable for guests bringing outside beverages into the restaurant.
- Table of 6: 200,000 VND / table.
- Table of 10: 300,000 VND / table.
- Additional Surcharge for Wine/Spirits: 100,000 VND / bottle.
3. OUTDOOR CATERING WEATHER POLICY
- Re-setup Fee: A 20% surcharge applies for the second setup (relocation fee) if the client requests to move the event indoors (restaurant) less than 04 hours prior to the service time due to adverse weather.
- Condition: This applies provided that the Resort has already notified/advised the client of the relocation plan 06 hours prior.
4. AMENDMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
A. Amendment (Reduction of Quantity): Applicable for same-day service adjustments. Reduction must not exceed 10% of the original booking.
- Lunch Service: Notification required before 08:00 AM.
- Dinner Service: Notification required before 14:00 (2:00 PM).
B. Cancellation Penalties:
- Cancellation > 3 days prior to arrival: Free of charge.
- Cancellation 1 day prior to arrival: 50% of the Deposit Value will be charged.
- Cancellation on the day of arrival: 100% of the Deposit Value will be charged.
5. BOOKING CONDITIONS
- All bookings must be made directly through the Sales Department of the Resort.
- To be confirmed, the booking must comply with all regulations regarding Deposits and Payment Terms as stipulated by the Resort.
6. PAYMENT REGULATIONS The Client is responsible for settling 100% of the total value of services listed in Section I of this Quotation, specifically:
- Deposit: A minimum deposit of 50% of the total value is required at least 07 (Seven) days prior to the service date (for non-contractual bookings). For bookings under a signed contract, payment terms shall follow the agreed-upon principles in said contract.
- Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled in full after deducting the deposited amount and prior to the guest’s departure from the Resort.

8. GENERAL NOTES
- Entrance Fee Policy: Please note that guests using dining services at the Restaurant or staying at the Community Stilt House are STILL REQUIRED to purchase the Resort Entrance Ticket.
- Buffet Availability: Lunch/Dinner Buffet availability is subject to actual timing and must be specifically confirmed for each booking.
