A New Year’s Blessing Written in Art
Spring is not merely a season of nature. It is also a state of the human spirit. It is the moment when vitality is awakened, when life gently stirs beneath warm earth, when time slows down to listen to beginnings taking shape.
“Spring Leads the Way” is conceived as a circular artistic movement: from a call that awakens life energy, to a journey of experience in the new season, and finally to a convergence of blessings. Here, spring does not stand still to be observed. Spring moves forward, guiding people along, carrying cultural memory into the present, and leading simple wishes for a year of peace and harmony into lived experience.
Through the language of dance, music, and space, “Spring Leads the Way” tells the story of a shared departure of nature and the human heart: from awakening, to movement, to gathering. It is more than an art program. It is a New Year’s blessing written in movement, light, and emotion. A blessing so that spring does not merely arrive, but remains—within every step we take and every new beginning we embrace.
Chapter I: The Hoofbeats Calling Spring
Beneath the warm earth, there is a sound almost imperceptible, yet powerful enough to stir the entire space—the sound of spring approaching. It is the sound of hoofbeats. Not loud, not hurried, but resonating like a call: a call to awaken vitality, to summon faith, and to invite new beginnings.
In East Asian cultural memory, the horse is a symbol of movement, endurance, and an unceasing journey forward. Each hoof touching the ground marks a pulse of time, opening the path for spring to return and awakening rhythms that have lain dormant after a long winter. “The Hoofbeats Calling Spring” unfolds as the opening chapter of the artistic cycle known as Spring Leads the Way.
This is not merely a performance. It is the moment when nature stirs, the first knock upon the door of spring, a New Year’s greeting written through movement, music, and light. We invite you to listen, to feel, and to allow these hoofbeats to guide us together into a spring that is just beginning to reveal its path.
Chapter II: Along the Path of Spring
If The Hoofbeats Calling Spring awakened the vitality of nature, then Along the Path of Spring carries spring into everyday life. Spring begins to move—along familiar roads, village paths, riverbanks, and waterside wharves—into rhythms of life gradually returning after a cycle of closing and renewal.
Here are unhurried footsteps that pause to listen as nature shifts its tempo; gentle movements, like young shoots touching sunlight for the first time; and lively rhythms echoing the sounds of spring markets and early-year laughter. Along the Path of Spring is a chapter of journey and experience—where people meet one another again, meet themselves again, and rediscover the belief that beyond every rise and fall, life always holds a season for new beginnings.
Let us continue forward, guided by emotion and imagination, along the spring path unfolding before us.
Chapter III: Xuân Mã Đáo
As the last chill of winter gradually fades, as green shoots gently stir beneath the warm earth, a subtle sound begins to awaken the entire space—the sound of spring. It is the sound of hoofbeats.
In East Asian cultural memory, the horse is a symbol of movement, endurance, and departure. Each hoof striking the ground marks a pulse of time, opening the way for spring to return and awakening rhythms that have lain dormant after a long winter. The Hoofbeats Calling Spring becomes the ignition of both nature and the human spirit—the first moment when vitality begins to spread, when new wishes are spoken into being through music, light, and movement.
