Indeed, that old bulldozer carries within it the entrepreneurial story of the founder of Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area. Therefore, it is not wrong to say that this is a “powerful” bulldozer – the power of intelligence and resilient, resilient mentality that has turned the wild, swampy valley into an ideal eco-tourism destination of Ninh Binh province.
In 1999, Mr. Pham Cong Chat – the investor of Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area (currently the director of Doanh Sinh Trade and Tourism Services Joint Stock Company), at that time a young man, during an adventure with a group of friends in Thung Nham, discovered a large, lush valley – he came up with the idea of building a comprehensive farm economic model. The dream of reclaiming land was cherished passionately in the heart of the young man.
However, the terrain was difficult, the valley was densely surrounded by mountains and forests, the only way to get in and out was by boat, through the cave – which is now But Cave. Partly because of the difficult terrain – and more importantly because he did not have much capital – at that time, young Pham Cong Chat did not have any supporting machinery – except for a buffalo. People and buffalo worked hard day and night, struggling to pull each cart of soil, plowing each furrow, etc. At that time, he only wished he had a bulldozer to speed up the work and reduce the burden on the workers.
